Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, serving Texas’ 24th district, recently shared insights and updates on Twitter. Van Duyne, who has been in Congress since 2021 and resides in Irving, brought attention to various topics through her posts.
On April 12, she noted her engagement with students from the Episcopal School of Dallas. Van Duyne stated, “It was wonderful to spend time with students from the Episcopal School of Dallas. They were able to take a tour of the Capitol while on their school trip to Washington, D.C.!”
A day later, she addressed the role of the judiciary, emphasizing the need for accountability among judges. Van Duyne posted, “Rogue, activist judges must be held accountable. We can do that by codifying that their rulings ONLY apply to parties before them and cannot be used to place a nationwide injunction on Executive or Legislative Branch actions.”
Later on April 13, Van Duyne highlighted an opportunity for young artists in her district. She tweeted, “#TX24 high school artists, the deadline to submit your artwork for this year's Congressional Art Competition is quickly approaching! The deadline to submit is April 25th! More information can be found on my website below.”
Beth Van Duyne, aged 52 and a Cornell University alumna, was born in Ithaca, New York in 1970. She succeeded Kenny Marchant in Congress, known for her representation of Texas’s 24th district.
