Van Duyne, who was born in Ithaca, New York, in 1970, graduated from Cornell University in 1995 and now resides in Irving, Texas, took to social media to discuss a range of national issues.

On April 4, 2025, Congresswoman Van Duyne commented on government spending and support for veterans, stating, "Less money wasted on absurd, big government contracts means more money to take care of our nation’s veterans. Well done!"
