Rep. Marc Veasey, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 33rd District since 2013, has recently taken to social media to express his views on various issues concerning the current administration. In a series of tweets, Veasey addresses topics ranging from tariffs and trade wars to domestic policy impacts under former President Donald Trump's leadership.

On March 4, 2025, Veasey tweeted about the State of the Union address given by Trump, stating that he sat down to "pre-bunk" what he described as lies from the address. He emphasized that despite Trump's claims of putting America first, "the Trump Tax aka Tariff is a TAX ON YOU." The full tweet can be viewed here.

Following this, on March 5, 2025, Veasey posted a brief message simply titled "A recap of the last 70 minutes," which can be accessed here.

Later that same day, Veasey criticized several aspects of Trump's policies in another tweet. He mentioned "higher prices, trade wars, tariffs," along with other issues such as cuts on Medicaid and increased egg prices. Veasey concluded by questioning if this was Trump's idea of an "American Golden Age." This tweet is available for viewing here.
