Rep. Marc Veasey, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas's 33rd District since 2013, recently expressed his views on several important topics through a series of tweets. Veasey, who has been involved in public service for nearly two decades, highlighted issues ranging from national security to health concerns.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Marc Veasey criticized comments made by Elon Musk regarding a project significant to his district. He emphasized the importance of the project by stating that "The people in my district working on this project are among the hardest-working in the nation. Cutting it would have devastating economic and national security impacts." He further described Musk’s remarks as "unresearched and disrespectful."

Later that day, Veasey took to Twitter again to commend his colleague Rep. Colin Allred for his service and leadership. In a heartfelt message posted on December 10, he stated: "It’s been an honor serving with you, @RepColinAllred. Texas and the nation are better because of your leadership." Veasey also praised Allred's athletic career and their personal friendship.

On December 11, Rep. Veasey addressed a pressing health issue concerning colorectal cancer screening guidelines set by the USPSTF (U.S. Preventive Services Task Force). He pointed out that "Colorectal cancer is one of the deadliest for men under 50, but it’s also one of the most preventable." He advocated for updated screening guidelines to improve prevention measures.
