Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.7% of them were boys, and 47.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 69.9% of the Legacy Preparatory total enrollment.

Legacy Preparatory roughly covers schools within Dallas County with its main office in Mesquite.

Among the two schools in Legacy Preparatory, Legacy Prep Charter Academy Mesquite West Campus recorded the highest enrollment of 1,162 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
