Mayor Johnson arrived in Paris, France on Sunday after traveling on a direct Air France flight from Dallas Fort Worth Airport. The mayor has traveled to France to take part in high-level meetings with government officials and business leaders with the purpose of promoting Dallas and strengthening business and tourism ties between Dallas and France.
Mayor Johnson traveled from Dijon to Paris this morning and was transported to his first meeting at the headquarters of Air Liquide in one of their hydrogen-powered taxis. Air Liquide is a world-leading company in the gas, technology, and service sectors. The mayor met with Air Liquide’s leadership who shared the company’s long-range vision and explained the many complex facets of the company’s worldwide business operations. Air Liquide was proud to mention that they are the official hydrogen supporter of the Paris 2024 Olympics. Mayor Johnson shared the Dallas story and why companies are choosing to relocate to Dallas.
The West Dallas Thanks & Giving Food Distribution Event is an opportunity for community members to drive through and pick up fresh produce and an uncooked turkey for Thanksgiving. The event will target residents of 75208, 75211, and 75212. Proof of household address is required.

The City of Dallas Office of Homeless Solutions is pleased to announce with partners that the R.E.A.L. Time Rehousing Initiative (RTR), launched in October of 2021 as the Dallas R.E.A.L. Time Rapid Rehousing Initiative (DRTRR), has reached a milestone with rehousing 2,700 of our unsheltered neighbors. More people are being housed by this initiative, now known as the RTR, than ever before with a new goal of housing 6,000 individuals cumulatively by the end of 2025.
