Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, representing Texas' 30th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared statements on social media discussing her upcoming appearance on a television show, critiquing former administrative actions, and expressing concerns about economic issues. Crockett, who began her congressional tenure in 2023 following her service in the Texas House of Representatives, keeps an active presence on social media to engage with her constituents.

On April 23, 2025, Crockett posted, "No script. No filter. Just me and @jimmykimmel keeping it all the way real. Tune in tonight! @JimmyKimmelLive #Kimmel", announcing her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. This engagement reflects her efforts to reach a broader audience and discuss key issues in a candid manner.

Later the same day, Crockett criticized the previous administration's policy decisions, stating, "The Trump DOJ canceled grants for gun violence prevention, opioid addiction treatment, and victim advocacy—because saving lives doesn’t “align” with their priorities. These are the same folks claiming to make our streets safer." The tweet referenced actions by the Department of Justice under the Trump Administration and highlighted her focus on public safety and healthcare initiatives.

Furthermore, Crockett addressed economic challenges with the tweet, "Let’s be real: the cost of living is out of control. People are living paycheck to paycheck. Rent is sky high. And folks are choosing between medication and meals—just trying to survive. Meanwhile, billionaires aren’t paying taxes and are getting richer by the day." This statement underscored her concern about widening economic disparities and the financial burdens faced by everyday citizens.

Crockett, born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1981, currently resides in Dallas. She is an alumna of Rhodes College and the University of Houston, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2006.
