Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas' 30th Congressional District, recently expressed her critical standpoint on current administrative policies in a series of tweets. Crockett, originally from St. Louis, Missouri, succeeded Eddie Bernice Johnson in the U.S. Congress in 2023 following a period as a representative in the Texas House. Her academic background includes a BA from Rhodes College and a JD from the University of Houston. She now lives in Dallas.

On April 21st, 2025, Crockett articulated her concern regarding foreign policy practices by the administration, particularly following a leaked executive order. She stated, "Once again, this Administration is playing a reckless game with foreign policy. A leaked EO shows plans to slash staffing at the U.S. Embassy in Canada and gut the Bureau of African Affairs. Because clearly, alienating allies and dismantling diplomacy is the key to 'greatness,'".

Later that day, she criticized the administration's priorities in terms of affordability for everyday Americans. She wrote, "Why? Because he never cared about affordability. He cared about saying what he needed to win. Now that he’s in power, his only goal is to consolidate that power—no matter the cost to everyday Americans. (2/3)".

Continuing her thread, Crockett addressed President Trump's promises regarding economic improvement, sharing, "Trump promised to make everyday items more affordable and strengthen the economy.
