Beth Van Duyne, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 24th district, shared a series of statements on social media concerning national security and economic developments. Van Duyne, who has been in office since replacing Kenny Marchant in 2021, addressed issues ranging from legislation targeting terrorist supporters to foreign investments and border security.
On March 11, 2025, Van Duyne highlighted her proposed legislation titled "Hamas Supporters Have No Home Here Act." She stated, "Exactly right!! My bill, the Hamas Supporters Have No Home Here Act, will allow us to deal swiftly with these terrorist supporters who take advantage of our nation’s generosity to incite hatred for America and the Jewish people." The Congresswoman emphasized the need to expel foreign supporters of Hamas.
Later that day, she expressed gratitude towards former President Trump for facilitating a significant investment by Siemens in American manufacturing. Van Duyne remarked, "Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, Siemens – a German company – is investing another $10 BILLION in American manufacturing!" She praised this development as beneficial for job growth and supply chain reshoring.
In another post on March 11, 2025, Van Duyne criticized the Biden administration's handling of border security. She asserted that "Biden and the Democrats handed control of our southern border to violent Mexican cartels." She warned about tunnels used by cartels to smuggle drugs and people into the United States.
