Beth Van Duyne, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Texas' 24th district, shared her recent engagements and legislative activities through a series of tweets on February 11, 2025. The congresswoman highlighted her discussions with Canadian officials, her stance on IRS funding, and her involvement in legislation concerning gun owners.

On February 11, 2025, Beth Van Duyne posted about her meeting with elected officials from Alberta, Canada. She emphasized the discussion's focus on economic ties between the United States and Canada and improving cooperation to secure the northern border. She also addressed the issue of fentanyl trafficking. "I recently met with elected officials from Alberta, Canada, to discuss the deep economic ties between our countries, as well as the importance of improving cooperation to secure the northern border and halt the trafficking of deadly fentanyl."

Later that day, she criticized Democrats for increasing IRS funding with an aim to collect more taxes from billionaires but claimed that it resulted in IRS agents harassing working families and small businesses. Van Duyne announced her participation in an investigation by joining colleagues on the Ways and Means GOP Oversight Subcommittee. "Democrats gave the IRS a hefty boost in funding with a promise of collecting more in taxes from billionaires. Instead, IRS agents are harassing working families and small businesses."

In another tweet on February 11, 2025, Van Duyne expressed support for legislation introduced alongside Representative Riley Moore aimed at preventing federal infringement on gun owners' private financial transactions. She encouraged continued efforts in this legislative area. "Glad to join @RepRileyMoore in introducing legislation to prevent the federal government from infringing on gun owners’ private financial transactions!"
