On February 10, 2025, Van Duyne criticized the Democratic Party's handling of border security and the fentanyl crisis. She stated that "Democrats own this border and fentanyl crisis: they gave Mexican drug cartels control of our borders, empowered Communist China, and have opposed practical policies like our Secure the Border Act." She also mentioned her support for the HALT Fentanyl Act as a measure to combat the spread of fentanyl here.

Later that day, she expressed appreciation for what she described as "real leadership," thanking President Biden with a brief message: "Real leadership. Thank you. Mr. President " here.

In another post on February 10, Van Duyne commented on the activities of Elon Musk and his team at DOGE (Dogecoin), suggesting that their efficiency was causing concern among Democrats. She wrote: "Democrats are freaking out because @elonmusk and the @DOGE team are operating at a level unfamiliar to the deep state. They’re efficient, focused, and motivated to protect American taxpayers!" here.
