Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas’ 24th district, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting local achievements and political discussions. Van Duyne, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Kenny Marchant, provided insights into her activities and opinions on current issues.

On February 7, 2025, Van Duyne celebrated a local achievement by naming Thomas Paskvan as the "Texas-24 Hometown Hero." She noted that "This week’s Texas-24 Hometown Hero is 17-year-old Thomas Paskvan from Southlake. Thomas recently took home another first-place victory at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Fiddle Showdown!".

The following day, on February 8, she discussed her meeting with North Texas mayors and community leaders visiting Washington D.C. with the North Texas Commission. She expressed her commitment to making Washington more like Texas by stating "Wonderful to visit with North Texas mayors and community leaders visiting D.C. with the @NTxCommission! We had a great discussion about my work to make Washington more like Texas – from lowering taxes to slashing regulations, there’s much to be done.".

Later that day, Van Duyne criticized Democratic proposals regarding border security in another tweet. She argued against their approach by asserting "Democrats told us they needed a new Border bill with more money, more manpower, and normalizing 2 million illegal immigrants a year. All lies. We just needed @realDonaldTrump, @RealTomHoman, an empowered @BPUnion, and the will to enforce our laws.".
