Her recent statements address topics such as border policies, drug trafficking, and national security.

On February 1, 2025, Congresswoman Van Duyne criticized the Biden Administration's border policies. She stated that these policies have exacerbated issues related to drug and human trafficking by cartels. According to her tweet: "Of course, the Biden Administration also couldn't have cared less and made the situation worse with open border policies and facilitating drug and human trafficking by the cartels."

In another tweet from the same date, she discussed past efforts to address fentanyl problems and illegal immigration with Mexican leadership. She mentioned a meeting with then-President Obrador alongside Chairman Jason Smith and members of Ways and Means GOP: "Unfortunately, I know this won't happen without extreme pressure."

Further emphasizing national security concerns on February 1st, Van Duyne highlighted former President Donald Trump's stance on protecting American lives. She stated: ".@POTUS @realDonaldTrump understands our national security and protecting American lives is paramount!"
