Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, representing Texas' 30th district, has voiced her concerns regarding recent executive orders issued by former President Donald Trump. In a series of tweets, she outlines the potential impacts of these orders on both domestic and international fronts.

On January 24, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett highlighted the implications of Trump's "Freeze Foreign Aid" order. She stated that "Trump's 'Freeze Foreign Aid' order pauses all foreign development & humanitarian aid (despite it being only 1% of US budget). This will worsen international crises & lead to more refugees seeking asylum." According to her, this decision could result in global instability, fewer international partners, and famine.

In another tweet posted on the same day, Crockett addressed Trump's "Trans Servicemember" order. She noted that "Trump's 'Trans Servicemember' order clears the way for Trump to revive his 2017 ban on transgender people serving in the military." The Congresswoman warned that this could exacerbate the existing military recruiting shortage, degrade combat readiness, and lead to a loss of experienced military personnel.

Additionally, Congresswoman Crockett commented on Trump's "Free the Thugs" order through a tweet also dated January 24. She remarked that "Trump's 'Free the Thugs' order commuted sentences of 1500+ charged with crimes connected to the January 6 insurrection, including violent militia leaders & one defendant who promised to shoot his children for turning him in." This action is perceived by Crockett as increasing the risk of domestic terrorism.
