Three Pack players named D2CCA All-South Central Region

On Tuesday, the DII Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released the All-South Central Region team and three players from the Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team earned recognition for their outstanding play this season.

Shjon Andrews and Gabriel Campora were listed on the first team and Lamar Bynum earned a spot on the second team.

This season, the ThunderWolves have set numerous program-firsts and included being ranked as high as No. 3 in Division II and have set a new program record for wins in a season, currently at 16-3-2 overall.

For a second consecutive season, CSU Pueblo earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament and secured the No. 3 seed in Super Region 4.

The ThunderWolves advanced to the third round after defeating Cal Poly Pomona 2-1 at home last week and will travel for a matchup at No. 2 seeded St. Mary's on Thursday at 5 p.m. (MT) in San Antonio.

Andrews was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year after helping the ThunderWolves in allowing just 17 goals on the year. He has tallied three goals and two assists in 21 games played.

Campora was a dominant force on offense in which he finished third in the RMAC in goals and during Saturday's NCAA Second Round matchup against Cal Poly Pomona, Campora's PK goal in the 74th minute proved the difference make in the ThunderWolves' 2-1 victory.

Bynum, the reigning Co-RMAC Freshman of the Year had a stellar sophomore campaign, scoring four goals and added four assists in 19 games on the pitch. The outside back defender helped limit the opposition to a .810 goals per game and 6.7 shots per contest.

CSU Pueblo continues their quest for a National Championship in the third round this week.
