Dallas-based Premier Project Management has found new ways to help its customers during the pandemic by providing them with social-distancing solutions and identifying construction finishes and materials that are easier to clean.
Hector Sanchez, the CEO of Premier, said the company offers its services in design, procurement, project and construction management and negotiating and pricing out of PIPs (property improvement plans) to hotels, multi-family and most recently commercial services.
Premier ranks as one of the largest renovation companies in the U.S. In 2019, it handled $250 million of capital expenditure spending, Sanchez told Dallas City Wire. For most of the renovations, the company provided design, architecture, procurement, project and construction management.
"Even though 2020 has been challenging, the worst is behind us for Premier," Sanchez said. "We have been steadily increasing our workload in the past few months and new projects have continued to increase into 2021."
The company's results during the pandemic lead the CEO to expect a rapid recovery.
"Our team has done an excellent job partnering with our customers and providing cost-effective solutions to their challenges," said Sanchez. "Despite the pandemic, we have been able to diversify and grow into other sectors more than we ever had in our past, therefore we see the recovery for Premier to be swift."
The pandemic has also allowed Premier to help customers with socially distanced designs.
"The pandemic has allowed us to partner with our customers much more closely than in the past," said Sanchez. "We have been working diligently on providing our customers cost-effective solutions for social distancing-friendly floor layouts and alternative options for easy-to-clean construction finishes and furniture upholstery materials, assuming that many of these new distancing and cleaning requirements might stay past the pandemic."
Premier has completed over $2.5 billion in renovations and new construction projects during its 25-plus years in business.
"We have done this successfully by reducing millions of dollars from PIP items for our customers by utilizing our very strong relationships with the brands and understanding what items are negotiable," Sanchez said.
The company succeeds at this by leveraging its buying power with a vast network of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE), operating supplies and equipment (OS&E) and construction material vendors.
For those who need design services, Premier has experience from mid-scale to luxury project, said Sanchez. The company works on renovation projects as small as $100,000 to $100 million-plus renovations and new construction.
Premier offers project and construction management services also.
"We have built very solid local relationships with many subs and general contractors across the U.S.," said Sanchez.
Premier's leadership team has more than 100 years of combined experience. Sanchez said the experience brings with it a lot of innovative ways of providing tailored solutions for a challenging environment to customers.
"Premier is unique in its ability to offer all of these services under one roof," Sanchez said. "We take full ownership of the entire project, and our sense of urgency and customer focus is second to none."
