Rep. Marc Veasey, who has represented Texas's 33rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2013, recently expressed his views on various political matters through a series of tweets. These posts address issues such as government administration, economic concerns, and employment affecting veterans.
In a tweet dated March 12, 2025, Rep. Veasey announced an upcoming Telephone Town Hall scheduled for March 17. He highlighted the need for this event by stating: "There is a lot of BS and not a lot of answers coming from the Trump-Musk administration right now." He mentioned public concerns regarding Medicaid, tariffs, job security for veterans, and rising prices.
On the same day, Rep. Veasey critiqued the current administration's handling of government operations by tweeting: "Y'all control the House, Senate, and White House. Dems don't have the power to shut down the government." He attributed these issues to what he described as a "skill issue from your 'leadership'."
Further addressing employment concerns among veterans, on March 13, 2025, Rep. Veasey accused the administration of terminating veteran employees by stating: "You fired 80,000 veterans."
