On March 3, 2025, Van Duyne praised North Texans Ashley Cain and Amber Glenn, along with Dallas native Paul Wylie for their performance at Legacy on Ice. The event served as an emotional tribute to the victims of the January 29 air collision. Later that day on March 3rd, Van Duyne commented on the extradition of "El Gato" to the United States to face charges related to ordering a murder in Southlake Town Square in 2013. She emphasized that “El Gato” was extradited back to the United States where he will answer for ordering the murder of Juan Jesus Guerrero-Chapa at Southlake Town Square in 2013."
On March 4th, she commended former President Donald Trump for his stance against Communist China. Van Duyne remarked that "President @realDonaldTrump is sending a powerful message to Communist China by confronting this issue head-on."
