Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, who has been representing Texas' 24th district since 2021, recently shared her thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. These posts highlight both local recognition and national policy concerns.
On February 21, 2025, Congresswoman Van Duyne honored Corporal Donald "Don" Graves as the #TX24 Hometown Hero. She noted his service as a flamethrower in the Second Battalion of Iwo Jima during World War II. "This week’s #TX24 Hometown Hero is Corporal Donald 'Don' Graves, a Fort Worth resident and World War II veteran, Graves served as a flamethrower in the Second Battalion of Iwo Jima."
Later that day, she criticized the Biden Administration's immigration policies. Van Duyne claimed that the administration opened borders and reversed effective policies from the previous Trump Administration, which she believes handicapped Border Patrol agents. "First the Biden Administration opened our borders and ended the effective policies of the first Trump Administration, handicapping our brave Border Patrol agents." She further accused President Biden of lying about his inability to control illegal immigration without additional funding.
In another tweet on February 21, Van Duyne addressed issues concerning unaccompanied migrant children. She alleged that Democrats ignored these predatory situations and expressed frustration over unanswered questions directed at Biden Administration officials regarding this matter. "Democrats turned a blind eye to the predatory situation they created for hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied migrant children." Her statements were based on claims made by an HHS whistleblower.
