On February 11, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett addressed the impact of tariffs introduced during Trump's administration. She stated, "Trump’s trade war has officially begun—and U.S. drivers are about to pay the price." She elaborated that a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports would increase costs for both manufacturers and consumers in the automotive sector.

In a subsequent post made moments later, she emphasized the nature of tariffs as taxes, asserting that American businesses face a choice between absorbing these costs or passing them onto consumers. She remarked, "Don't let Trump fool you—tariffs are TAXES." Crockett warned that such trade measures could exacerbate inflationary pressures.
