Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 92.9% of Golden Rule Charter School District's student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,347 Hispanic students enrolled in Golden Rule Charter School District in the 2022-23 school year, 7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Golden Rule Charter School District welcomed 1,450 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 92.9% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Golden Rule Charter School District roughly covers schools within Dallas County and has a main office in DeSoto.

Among the six schools in Golden Rule Charter School District, Golden Rule Charter School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 594 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
