There were 509 African American students enrolled in Trinity Basin Preparatory School District in the 2022-23 school year, 18.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Trinity Basin Preparatory School District welcomed 4,761 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 10.7% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Trinity Basin Preparatory School District roughly covers schools within Dallas County and has a main office in Grand Prairie.

Among the three schools in Trinity Basin Preparatory School District, Trinity Basin Preparatory recorded the highest enrollment of African American students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 212 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
