There were 6,724 students enrolled in Highland Park ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 81.7% of the Highland Park ISD total enrollment.

Highland Park ISD roughly covers schools within Dallas County with its main office in Dallas.

Among the eight schools in Highland Park ISD, Highland Park High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,260 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
