There were 1,067 students enrolled in A.W. Brown Leadership Academy in the 2021-22 school year, 22.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.2% of them were girls, and 46.8% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were African American, representing 92.7% of the A.W. Brown Leadership Academy total enrollment.

A.W. Brown Leadership Academy roughly covers schools within Dallas County with its main office in Dallas.

Among the two schools in A.W. Brown Leadership Academy, Quest Campus Pre-K Thru 8 recorded the highest enrollment of 565 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
