On Sept. 9, 2023 over 3,000 guests from as far as Austin and Oklahoma City descended on the Dallas International District during its seven-hour celebration of Dallas’ diverse food, art, and entertainment community at the Dallas International Night Market.

“The City of Dallas is celebrating National Welcoming Week this week and this was a phenomenal way to celebrate our commitment to connecting neighbors of all backgrounds,” said Councilmember Jaynie Schultz.

This was the inaugural event of a quarterly night market series developed and produced by Curated Creative Markets, a collaboration between two Dallas locals, Elle Congelliere of Elle Société and Sarah Chung of 4OAK Events.

“To see our hard work and dedication come to fruition and be strongly supported by the community and City of Dallas, was truly a humbling and honoring experience,” Congelliere said. “To be able to showcase the true kaleidoscope of cultural variety that makes our city unique was one of our primary goals and that was something we accomplished.”

The night market featured a variety of food vendors from all over the world, four food trucks, and several local artisans selling handcrafted goods.

These 50-plus vendors, in-kind sponsors, and community partners included Redneck Ronin, Aloha’s Jewelry & More, Mister Picoso, Exquisite Designs by Antoinette, Grand Canyon University, Precise Glo, Pearl Honey Spreads, Ukrainian Cultural Club of Dallas, elbth_cafe, Blanco Coffee Gallery, Golden Cocoa Books, Colibri Panaderia, ZappedByZo, Ross Rowdy Bees, Sarah Jones Custom Collections, Dallas Cotillion Club, Curly & Clay Designs, Drama Tacos, Zafiro Jewellers, Paleta, Velarde Pizzaria, The WOW Factor by Emily, DFW Network Chamber, DJ Mr T., Dallas Macarons, Designz by Raga, Chuckwagon Nutcakes, Break Bread, Break Borders, YouMeAndEmilio, City of Dallas, Dallas International District, European American Chamber of Commerce Texas, Dallas Pets Alive! RSVP and save the date for the next Dallas International Night Market, which will be held on Saturday Dec. 9, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Dallas International District, 5580 Peterson Lane, Dallas, TX, 75240.

“I love what they have planned for the community in the area, and was happy to be a part of this festive celebration of culture– looking forward to the December event,” said Sarah Jones Thomas of Sarah Jones Custom Collections.

Applications are now open to interested vendors for the Dallas International Night Market in December. The December rendition of the series will be a fun, festive, and holiday-themed market. It is expected to be highly attended and host even more vendors and partners. “The September event’s success was not just in terms of attendance and positive feedback, but also in fulfilling its mission to celebrate the diverse tapestry of cultures within Dallas,” said Sarah Chung. “It served as a testament to the dedication and effort put in by the organizers and volunteers, creating an unforgettable experience for the community and a strong sense of unity among the city’s residents.”

The Dallas International District, formerly the Valley View-Galleria Area, is poised to become a vibrant, multicultural, innovative and eco-friendly live-work-play-visit community, anchored by Dallas International Commons, an iconic 20-acre park. It is already home to numerous international restaurants and a diverse and dynamic residential community.

“This event has put the Dallas International District on the map – not just for local residents who have been seeing the progress inch by inch, but the entire metroplex who are learning about this game-changing project. Valley View was once the place to go on weekends and it will be again,” said Suzanne Smith, strategic project manager for the Dallas International District for the City of Dallas.

The redevelopment, already underway, will transform the 450-acre area into a regional downtown that will include a Pre-K to twelfth grade International STEAM Academy, hotels, residences and retail, all connected by pedestrian, bike and public transportation. In August, Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas dedicated a specialized American Jobs Center in the Dallas International District.
