DBU's Kahn, Dunlap, and Lujan Named to All-Lone Star Conference Team

The DBU Men's Basketball team placed three players on the All-Lone Star Conference Team, as announced by the LSC on Thursday. Headlining the Patriots' three selections is Cameron Kahn, who was tabbed First Team All-LSC. Both Ta'Jay Dunlap and Ricky Lujan were named to the Third Team. The All-LSC Team was voted on by the league's 16 head coaches.

Kahn, a junior from Sulphur Springs, Texas, picks up First Team All-LSC honors for the second consecutive year. Kahn currently ranks 12th in the LSC in scoring (14.2 ppg) and sixth in the league in rebounding (6.5 rpg). Over the last 12 games, Kahn has averaged a team-high 18.3 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. During that stretch, Kahn has also totaled four double-doubles. In DBU's final regular-season game, Kahn became the 12th player in school history to eclipse 1,000 career points.

Dunlap arrived at DBU this season from Southern Wesleyan University. In his first season as a Patriot, Dunlap averaged 12.0 ppg and dished out a team-high 92 assists, a total that ranks 9th-best in the LSC. The senior guard from Columbia, South Carolina, ranked third in the league in steals (49) and second in steals per game (1.7). His 49 steals are tied for the 10th-most in a regular season in school history. It marks the fourth time that Dunlap has garnered All-Conference honors during his career after being a tabbed a three-time All-Conference Carolinas selection during his time at Southern Wesleyan.

Lujan, a junior from Las Cruces, New Mexico, ranks 19th in the LSC in scoring (12.8 ppg) and his 90 assists are 10th-most in the LSC. Lujan became the 11th player in program history to reach 1,000 carer points when he achieved the milestone with a season-high 26-point performance versus UT Tyler on February 23. Named the LSC Freshman of the Year in 2021, today's announcement marks the third time in his career that he has been selected to the All-LSC Team after picking up First Team honors as a freshman and was a Second Team selection in 2022.
