PATRIOT STORYLINES

- DBU is coming off of their third win in four games against a top 20 ranked team when they defeated No. 21 Louisiana Tech on Tuesday.

- The gauntlet of a schedule continues for the Patriots, as DBU still sits atop the country in both RPI and Strength of Schedule.

- Zach Heaton started against Louisiana Tech on Tuesday, going 2.2 shutout innings while picking up his first win of the season.

- Chandler Arnold recorded his fifth save on Tuesday against the Bulldogs. Since moving to the bullpen, Arnold is a perfect 5-0 in save opportunities and has not given up a run in four straight games.

- After snapping his nine-game hitting streak in last weekend's series finale, Cole Moore picked up right where he left off by recording two doubles, an RBI and a run scored against the Bulldogs.

- Luke Heefner continues his stellar freshman season, raising his average to .307 after a 2-5 performance Tuesday night.

- Over the last 12 games, DBU's pen owns a 3.54 ERA and has helped guide the Patriots to a 10-2 mark over that stretch. In the first 12 games of the season, DBU went 6-6 and the pen compiled a 5.59 ERA.

- Andrew Benefield continues his tear at the plate, having hit safely in six of his last seven games.  Since March 6, Benefield is hitting .317 (13-41).

- Blayne Jones started his 200th game on Tuesday and played in his 207th game all-time, placing him just 30 starts and 29 games played away from breaking the DBU record for both games played and started.

- Peyton Sherlin has now pitched in 77 career games for the Patriots, good for fifth-all time in the program's Division I era and just two shy from tying Randall Taylor (2004-2007) for fourth place.

SCOUTING WOFFORD

- Wofford comes into play at 18-8 on the season.

- The Terriers are riding a six-game win streak, and have won 12 of their last 13 games.

- Wofford currently leads the nation in sacrifice bunts this year, with 33 so far through their first 26 games.

- The Terriers also have the second most stolen bases in the country, having swiped 90 bags on the season.

- Wofford is just outside of the top 10 in hit by pitches this season, having been hit 49 times so far which is good for 11th-most in the nation.

- The Terriers also sit ninth in strikeout to walk ratio, with their staff recording 3.67 K/9.

- The Wofford pitching staff is stingy about allowing free bases, only walking 2.72 batters per nine innings, which is good for eighth-best in all of college baseball.

- John Dempsey is Wofford's leading hitting, recording 35 base hits for a .385 batting average, both tops on the team.

- Ryan Galanie is their best long ball threat, with six home runs on the season.

- Dalton Rhadans is the workhorse of the Terrier staff, throwing to the tune of a 1.87 ERA over 33.2 innings.
