Fort Worth has confirmed plans to host its summer open houses in late July and early August.
Residents who attend the summer event will be provided with information related to the city's 2022 budget, redistricting software and next year's bond election.
"Big things are happening in Fort Worth,” Fort Worth’s Mayor Mattie Parker said on Twitter. “You can learn more about important community issues at a @CityofFortWorth Summer Open House."
The open houses will be held on Thursdays, July 29, Aug. 5, Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon, according to a listing on Fort Worth's official site. More than six city departments will be represented at each meeting.
At the open houses, city departments will review proposed projects related to the 2022 Bond Election, distribute knowledge and a timeline for redistricting software, and outline the components of next year’s city budgets, a city press release stated.
In addition to detailing current events related to Fort Worth, city officials will also inform community members about the Fort Worth Comprehensive Plan intended to drive growth and development efforts in the area, as well as various city services established to provide resources to the public, as well as ways to stay engaged with the city.
