Tim Brown born in Dallas on July 22, 1966
Tim Brown was born in Dallas on July 22, 1966. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School. There, he joined the football team as a sophomore and also competed in track. In 1987, he became the first wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy while at Notre Dame. Brown played 16 seasons with the Raiders and one with the Buccaneers. He was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and set multiple franchise records with the Raiders. He retired with over 14,000 receiving yards and 100 touchdowns. In 2015, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Brown has held roles as a sports analyst, nonprofit leader, and indoor football league executive. Woodrow Wilson High School remains the only public high school to have produced two Heisman winners. Brown’s early football success and continued sports leadership tie him closely to his hometown of Dallas.
