Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reported the booking of Jorge Martinez on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14.

According to Dallas County records, Martinez was booked under number 26001374 on January 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM local time. The charge listed is sex abuse of a child continuous: victim under 14, with a bond amount set at $100,000. An additional hold has been placed for illegal alien status with no bond amount specified.

The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office indicates that approximately 700 cases involving child sexual abuse are filed each year by local law enforcement. The Crimes Against Children Division is responsible for prosecuting cases related to sexual abuse of children, child pornography, and child trafficking. In April 2025, over 70 Texas agencies participated in Operation Soteria Shield, resulting in the rescue of 109 children and the arrest of 244 individuals for online child exploitation.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that at least one in four girls and one in twenty boys experience child sexual abuse in the United States. About 90 percent of such abuse involves perpetrators known to the child or family. Data from the National Children’s Alliance shows that in 2022, there were 558,899 children who were victims of abuse and neglect, with 11 percent involving sexual abuse.
