Rep. Marc Veasey, a long-standing member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 33rd District since 2013, has aired serious concerns through his recent tweets about potential security risks and leadership failures in military matters. Previously, he served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013. Veasey, who was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1971 and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1995, took to social media to address what he considers grave concerns.

In a tweet dated March 26, 2025, Veasey expressed his worries about the security of service members, citing possible risks from a known Signal chat, and accused three individuals of lying. He warned that the situation "puts all our service members, our intelligence community, and your safety at home at risk”. "Hegseth lied. Gabbard lied. Waltz lied. These idiots need”.

Later on March 26, Veasey shared another post reflecting his views on the current state of the Republican party in 2025. He shared a tweet with a satirical tone: "The Republican party in 2025”.

On March 27, 2025, Veasey issued a call for resignation, targeting Hegseth’s leadership within the military. He criticized Hegseth for lacking the necessary capabilities to manage the world's most formidable military force and advocated for immediate resignation. "Hegseth clearly lacks the capacity and decision-making abilities needed to lead the most powerful military in the world. Because of that reason, and many others, Hedgseth should immediately resign.”
