The following day, March 11, 2025, Veasey explained his decision to vote against a Continuing Resolution (CR). He criticized Republicans for attempting to cut critical programs for seniors and veterans while allegedly empowering billionaires like Elon Musk at Congress's expense: "I voted 'no' on the CR."
