Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas' 24th district, has been vocal on social media regarding tax policies, veteran recognition, and border security. On December 5, 2024, she shared her views through a series of tweets addressing these issues.

In a tweet posted on December 5 at 14:13 UTC, Congresswoman Van Duyne expressed concerns about potential tax increases if the "2017 Trump Tax Cuts" are not extended. She emphasized that the "American families, workers, and job creators will face a massive tax hike" and highlighted efforts by the Ways and Means Committee to develop a tax code that benefits families economically.

Later that day at 16:34 UTC, Van Duyne acknowledged the military service of Sergeant Ronald York from Carrollton. She tweeted about presenting him with a Vietnam Lapel Pin in recognition of his service in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966-1972. The tweet read: "Sergeant Ronald York...I was honored to recognize his service by presenting him with a Vietnam Lapel Pin."

At 18:50 UTC on the same day, Van Duyne addressed border security issues in another tweet. She criticized what she described as Democrats' open border policies that have cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Her message conveyed support for efforts by House Republicans and President Trump to enhance national security by securing borders again: "American taxpayers have shelled out billions...by securing our borders again!"
