Cityscape Schools welcomed 1,245 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,245 students enrolled in Cityscape Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.6% of them were girls, and 48.4% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 80.4% of the Cityscape Schools total enrollment.

Cityscape Schools roughly covers schools within Dallas County with its main office in Dallas.

Among the two schools in Cityscape Schools, East Grand Preparatory Academy recorded the highest enrollment of 903 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
