The Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA) awarded a $2,000 scholarship to University of Notre Dame student Joseph Smith following his completion of the Constitutional Study Program.
Smith is from Dallas, Texas and is currently pursuing a degree in Finance. After taking the free courses in the Constitutional Study Program provided through Hillsdale College, he reflected on the necessity of learning about these founding ideals and documents.
“It is of the utmost importance that the few in each generation who believe in the truth of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence make a sacrifice for the betterment of all,” Smith noted.
He continued, “It is easy to recognize the issues facing freedom in America, but difficult to have the courage to seize an opportunity to make a difference.”
“It’s incredibly encouraging knowing students like Joseph are passionate about our great nation and the ideals that made it great in the first place,” the Foundation’s Executive Director Christine Altenberger said. “Joseph and many others who have completed the Constitutional Study Program give me hope in the future of our great nation in a time where the principles of virtue, liberty, and justice are under attack.”
To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, students must have completed the “Constitution 101” and “Introduction to the Constitution” FREE online courses through Hillsdale College. Visit https: https://www.ffroa.com/constitutional-study-program/ to learn more.
