SKYWARN Severe Weather Education Class Comes to Southern Dallas County

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has partnered with the National Weather Service and the University of North Texas at Dallas to bring a SKYWARN Storm Spotter class to Southern Dallas County.

This class is an opportunity to learn about the severe weather hazards in our area and be trained to provide storm reports to the National Weather Service.

The SKYWARN Storm Spotter class will highlight several topics including:
Basic Severe Weather Safety

Severe Weather Characteristics

Receiving Weather Information

Local Resources Available For Residents

How To Report Weather Information

The class will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the University of North Texas at Dallas. Registration for this course is not required, and seating is on a first come first serve basis.
