48 schools across Kaufman County welcome 31,657 students in 2020-2021 school year

Test 04

Kaufman County enrolled 31,657 students in the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is 178 fewer than the year before.

Kaufman County was ranked 34th in enrollment among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
