Celebrating 10 Years! Join the Office of Arts and Culture for Dallas Arts Month

This April marks the 10-year anniversary of Dallas Arts Month, highlighting the diverse, vibrant and growing arts community.

To mark the occasion, the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture (OAC) will be partnering with various artists and elected officials to celebrate the kick-off with a press conference at 10 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Latino Cultural Center. The kick-off event will feature live performances by Percussion Things’ Len Barnett and Traditional Mexican Aztec dance group the Mitotilizli Yaoyollohtli.

Deputy Mayor Pro-Tem Omar Narvaez and Councilmember Paul Ridley, who are strong advocates for the city’s arts community, will be speaking at the event.

After first launching in April 2013, Dallas Arts Month has become an annual city-wide festival celebrating contemporary arts and local culture. Office of Arts and Culture is partnering with Dallas Arts District, AT&T Performing Arts Center (ATTPAC), and the Dallas Area Cultural Advocacy Coalition (DACAC), to spotlight our vibrant, diverse and growing arts community.

Dallas residents and visitors can participate in hundreds of arts and cultural offerings both virtually and in-person for free. Throughout the city, patrons can find festivals, plays, concerts, exhibitions and more through the online calendar.

Other major partners to participate this year’s Dallas Arts Month 10-Year anniversary includes: Dallas Area Cultural Advocacy Coalition (DACAC), Dallas Arts District, Deep Ellum Cultural District, Fair Park Cultural District, VisitDallas and the Dallas Tourism Public Improvement District.
