Davis nets RMAC Offensive Player of Week | COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY-PUEBLO
Colorado State University Pueblo women's basketball guard JaNaiya Davis has been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after leading the ThunderWolves in a 77-75 double overtime win at South Dakota Mines on Friday.
Davis notched a double-double, scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pack to their third straight win, and improve to 7-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Davis added four steals and three assists and brought down nine defensive boards.
Her buzzer-beater in the first overtime as time expired, extended the game another period and in the second overtime, Davis scored a layup with 2:07 left to give CSU Pueblo the lead for good.
CSU Pueblo returns to the court on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 for a pair of RMAC home games against Colorado Mesa and Westminster, both games will start at 2 p.m. inside Massari Arena.
