At the DRC’s annual Year Ahead event on Tuesday, Nov. 29, Comptroller Glenn Hegar hinted at an even larger budget surplus than the $27 billion his office previously estimated. Comptroller Hegar is required to give state lawmakers his biennial revenue estimate in January, which will help guide budget planning for the 2024-2025 cycle.
