The City of Dallas Office of Equity & Inclusion, in partnership with Human Resources, is pleased to announce the earning a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Municipal Equality Index (MEI). The MEI examines how inclusive municipalities are for LGBTQ+ people who live and work there.
“This score is a testament of our ongoing commitment to working for, with, and on behalf of Dallas employees and residents from the LBGTQ+ community,” said Director of Human Resources, Nina Arias. The City of Dallas has long been a leader in employer benefits and non-discrimination policies.
“The City is committed to inclusivity across various identities. This is part of our ongoing work, and we look forward to continuing to focus efforts on a Dallas where everyone can thrive,” said Director of the Office of Equity & Inclusion, Dr. Lindsey Wilson. “This work is made possible through intentional and collaborative efforts across the City. Inclusion is part of the fabric of our organization, and we all have a role” said Dr. Wilson.
The City was evaluated on Non-Discrimination Laws, the Municipality as an Employer, Municipal Services, Law Enforcement, and Leadership on LGBTQ+ Equality. Join us in celebrating this honor.
