DBU (305, 17-over par) is just three shots back of tournament leader UT Permian Basin (302, 14-over) after round one of the RJGA South Central Shootout in El Paso, Texas.
Individually, DBU's Jack Wilson leads the 80-player field with a 2-under par, 70 scorecard. The Patriots are also benefitting from another strong performance by Key Coker (T5). Coker shot a 74 on the day and sits just one shot back of the tournament's top three.
The final round of the RJGA South Central Shootout is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
