Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Eastfield College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Eastfield College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas residents paid $3,330 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 56.8 percent more than residents this year, or $5,220. Their price tag was unchanged from $5,220 in 2017-18.

About 99 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Texas residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 62 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 254 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.5 million and 31 students took out student loans totaling more than $172,392.

Including all undergraduates (16,769), 8,881 students used grants or scholarships totaling $28 million, and 1,411 students took out $8.7 million in federal student loans.
