5 percent of applicants to the Dallas Nursing Institute were admitted for fall 2018

At the Dallas Nursing Institute, 83 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 84 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Dallas enrolled 225 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 8.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 3 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (59 percent) and white (18 percent).

The school admitted 5 percent of the 796 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 92 percent enrolled.
