The Dallas Institute of Funeral Service enrolls 187 undergrads

At the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, 68 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in Dallas enrolled 187 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 63.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

75 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 25 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (51 percent) and Black or African American (27 percent).
