Newmark Knight Frank Group has landed four of North Texas’ top commercial property brokers as the company seeks to expand its footprint in the investment real estate industry,
Gary Carr, John Alvarado and Robert Hill, all formerly of CBRE, joined Chris Murphy, formerly of JLL, in making the jump. The group is known to have overseen commercial real estate transactions topping billions of dollars across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
“The addition of these investment experts in a state in which capital markets volume is approaching coastal levels continues to expand Newmark Knight Frank's footprint to allow us to best serve our clients,” CEO Barry Gosin told The Dallas Morning News.
Newmark Knight Frank estimates that markets in Texas accounted for more than 10% of all commercial property transactions across the U.S. last year and that nearly 3,000 Texas property trades were conducted in 2017, trailing only New York and California in volume.
Carr, who served as vice chairman at CBRE, hinted that things could now be even bigger and better.
“Newmark Knight Frank has had impressive momentum in the capital markets arena in both recruitment and market share, and this is an exceptional opportunity to build a best-in-class office capital markets practice in Texas through the consolidation of top talent in the marketplace,” he said.
