SMU Women’s Tennis announced on June 1 the signing of Luca Udvardy to its 2026-27 roster.

Udvardy, a native of Balatonakarattya, Hungary, joins the Mustangs after completing her rookie season at Oklahoma State. She was selected for the All-Big 12 Freshman Team during her time there. Udvardy currently holds an 11.10 UTR, has achieved a career-high WTA ranking of 474, and reached as high as No. 14 in the ITF junior rankings.

During her spring season in Stillwater, Udvardy posted an 8-1 record in singles play, winning her last eight matches following an early two-tiebreaker-set loss in February. In doubles competition at Oklahoma State, she went 10-1 and started the spring with nine consecutive victories on courts two and three.

Before beginning her college career, Udvardy competed at all four Junior Grand Slam tournaments and was a singles finalist at the 2022 Wimbledon Juniors. In her junior career, she collected two singles titles and ten doubles titles. On the professional tour, she added five singles titles and two doubles titles to her achievements, most recently winning the ITF W35 Orlando event in November 2025.

Udvardy is part of SMU’s transfer class for 2026.
