Rep. Mitch Little, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 65th district, has recently made several statements on social media regarding issues in public education and government transparency.
On January 19, 2026, Rep. Little posted: “Individuals close to the GCISD school board told Current Revolt that the board had no knowledge of the planned event.” He followed this statement by asking, “Ask yourself how that happens and what other problems it is causing in the public school system.”
Later that day, he added another post: “I have a budget cut idea. Not gonna say what it is.”
Two days later, on January 21, 2026, Rep. Little addressed broader governmental issues with another statement: “We’re getting ready to have some really uncomfortable conversations that government is not good at having.”
Little was elected to his seat in 2025 after replacing Kronda Thimesch as representative for Texas’ 65th House district. His recent comments come amid ongoing debates over public school administration and state budgeting practices.
