Rep. Mitch Little, a Republican representing Texas’s 65th House district, has recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing issues of legal scrutiny in public events and hiring practices.

On May 4, 2026, Rep. Little commented on the legality of certain exclusive screenings by stating, “This isn’t really that different from the all-female Wonder woman screenings that happened in multiple cities. (@redsteeze) Those did not survive legal scrutiny, and neither should this. This is not legally permissible.”

In another post made the same day, he addressed concerns about city involvement in privately-managed properties: “I understand that the property is privately-managed. The City cannot outsource religious discrimination to a private third-party and throw up its hands and say, ‘Well, we don’t really run it.'”

Later that afternoon, Rep. Little questioned local school district hiring decisions with a pointed remark: “Perhaps Elgin ISD should have picked up the phone and called TJJD before hiring this person? https://t.co/aAPTltRIS1” The tweet referenced Elgin Independent School District and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).

Little was elected to the Texas State House in 2025 after succeeding Kronda Thimesch as representative for District 65.
