Rep. Mitch Little, a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2025 representing the 65th district, recently posted a series of messages on his social media account addressing legislative priorities and reflecting on recent accomplishments.
On January 16, 2026, Rep. Little expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for his work ahead, stating, “Thanks, friends. Looking forward to getting after it.”
Shortly after, he commented on policy directions for public universities in Texas: “As Republicans, we can just do things. Like focus on legitimate fields of study at our public universities.” This statement suggests an emphasis on academic priorities as part of the Republican agenda.
Later that day, Rep. Little referenced previous legislative action during the state’s 89th session: “Imagine that. We wrestled this issue to the ground as part of our bail reform package in the 89th session.”
Little succeeded Kronda Thimesch in representing Texas’s 65th House district following his election in 2025.
